Finance Minister addresses the “Russia-Africa” ​​special session on the sidelines of the Moscow Economic Forum

Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim addressed the “Russia-Africa” ​​special session held on the sidelines of the Moscow Economic Forum.

He gave a comprehensive presentation on the current situation in Sudan and the challenges facing the economic recovery process following the war, emphasizing the significant opportunities and huge potential the country possesses in various productive sectors, particularly the oil and natural resources sectors.

The Minister indicated that Sudan is steadily moving toward a phase of reconstruction and sustainable development and looks forward to expanding the horizons of strategic cooperation with the Russian Federation in the areas of investment, technology transfer, and capacity building, which will positively impact the national economy and contribute to strengthening the African-Russian partnership in the post-conflict phase.

Dr. Jibril said that relations between Sudan and Russia are witnessing steady growth and remarkable development in various fields, stressing that the next stage requires concerted efforts and building strong partnerships that enhance Sudan’s ability to exploit its vast resources for the benefit of economic development and achieving stability and prosperity for its people.
