The Federal Chamber: The coverage of the measles and rubella vaccine in the Gezira State is excellent

The Federal Chamber for Cholera, Measles, and Rubella Campaigns said that the vaccination teams succeeded in covering 1,217,073 people with the vaccination against measles and rubella in the localities of Madani Al-Kubra, Al-Hasahisa, Al-Kamil, and Sharq in the state of Gezira on its sixth day, out of the total target of 1,338,906 for ages from 9 months to 15 years.
In its meeting at the General Administration of Basic Health Care in the city of Kasala, the Chamber noted the vaccination of 773,279 people with the vaccine against cholera in three localities in Khartoum State (Bahri, Karri, and Umbada), out of the target of 1,202,381 people aged one year and above.
The Chamber reviewed the reports on the progress of the two campaigns received from the liaison officers related to their progress, including the plans of the federal supervisors and their observations on the teams and home visits, geographical coverage, in addition to health promotion activities and the supply situation, side effects and monitoring of cases of cholera, measles and rubella during the two campaigns, as well as coverage.
The Chamber described the coverage of the measles and rubella vaccine in the Gezira State as excellent, which indicates its success at all levels, which entered its sixth day yesterday.
