The Expanded Program on Immunization announces the digitization of monthly plans and reports in the states

As part of the development and accompaniment, the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) at the Federal Ministry of Health announced the digitization of baseline plans and monthly reports in the states. Acting Director of Maternal and Child Health, Amal Mahmoud, said in the opening session of the training workshop to digitize the basic plans and monthly reports of the immunization program in the states, which is organized by the immunization program in cooperation with the Middle East Network for Community Health, at the Al-Rih Al-Turaifi Hall in Kassala, that digitization will be added to the achievements of the EPI in improving the work environment, developing performance, and building capacities for workers in the immunization program, pointing to regional and local praises for immunization.

The Director of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), Ismail Al-Adani, revealed that digitization is currently being implemented in eight states, “and by the end of the workshop, it will be implemented in all states,” considering this a step in the right direction, correcting the path and completing the shortcomings. He added, “Despite what has happened, we are still continuing to introduce more vaccines.”

In her intervention, Dr. Nada Jaafar, the representative of the Middle East Network for Community Health, described the trend towards digitalization with strategic thinking, while accompanying the needs of the program and the ease of implementation. She stressed the pride in the partnership and cooperation with the Expanded Programme on Immunization in all fields, including capacity building and enhancement, in addition to planning, evaluation, and follow-up, announcing the continuation of cooperation and mobilizing resources to contribute to achieving immunization for its purposes.
