Army Carries Out a Successful Parachute Drop

This morning, Monday, the Sudanese Army’s 22nd Infantry Division carried out a successful parachute drop within the walls of its military base in Babanusa, West Kordofan State. This step reflects the continued field coordination between air and ground units amid complex security conditions.

Military sources reported that the operation was carried out with high precision and included the dropping of military and logistical cargo, including weapons, ammunition, food supplies, and medical supplies, to reinforce the forward positions of the forces deployed in the area.

This operation comes amid the nearly two-year siege imposed on the city by the Rapid Support Forces militia. The army seeks to maintain supply lines and support forces stationed in the front lines, despite the difficulty of land supplies on some fronts.

The division’s command confirmed that the supply delivery rate has reached 100%, noting that the operation represents a new success in a series of air support operations carried out over the past weeks to maintain military stability in the region.
