Sudan Produces 53 Tons of Gold in 9 Months

The Sudanese Mineral Resources Company announced that Sudan’s states produced 53 tons of gold in 9 months, with gold exports totaling $909 million.

In a statement, the company said that the performance report for the period from January to September 2025 showed the production of 53 tons of gold and revenues amounting to 699 billion Egyptian pounds. Gold exports amounted to $909 million, while local community remittances amounted to 33 billion Egyptian pounds.

The report indicated that the traditional mining sector witnessed a significant leap, with revenues exceeding 300 billion Egyptian pounds, a growth rate of 506% compared to previous years.

Revenues from the traditional mining sector in the previous year amounted to 93 billion Egyptian pounds, while in 2023 they reached 18 billion Egyptian pounds, compared to only 1.1 billion Egyptian pounds in 2022.

The Executive Office of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company held a meeting, headed by its General Manager, Mohamed Taher Omar, to discuss the digital transformation system and the performance report.

Mohamed Taher reiterated the company’s commitment to implementing the digital transformation system in the corporation’s headquarters and all its departments in the states, stressing that this approach is in line with state policies.

He explained that the company’s systems are One of the most advanced systems in the country, it was developed by the Planning Department to achieve integration and speedy information exchange.
