Council of Ministers approves number of agreements

During its regular meeting on Sunday in Port Sudan, chaired by Dr. Kamil Idris, the Council of Ministers approved a number of agreements. Ambassador Ali Mohamed Ali, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, said in a press statement that the meeting approved the draft amendment to the Information Crimes Law of 2025, presented by the Minister of Justice. The meeting also approved international agreements related to the protection of cultural property. The Council also approved a memorandum of understanding between Sudan and Russia in the cultural field, and another memorandum of understanding between the China Media Group and the General Authority for Radio and Television.

His Excellency added that, at the beginning of the session, the Prime Minister provided an update on his visit to Eritrea, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the Eritrean government and people for their unlimited support and hospitality for the people of Sudan.

He noted that during the meeting, the Council commended the efforts of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism and the General Intelligence Service for their significant efforts in recovering looted cultural property.
