Jaber: The Green Square will witness the country’s celebrations of the full return to Khartoum

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and the head of the Supreme Committee for Preparing the Environment for Citizens’ Return to Khartoum State,
Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, said that the square will soon witness the country’s celebrations of the full return to Khartoum State.
This came during his inspection today, accompanied by the Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, of the cleaning and rehabilitation work being carried out by the youth of the Popular Resistance in Khartoum locality.
He promised to provide basic requirements and address deficiencies and provide supplies for restoring electrical connections and lighting systems, as well as water services, planting grass, and rehabilitating the track and gymnasium.
The Sovereignty Council member directed the Khartoum State government to ensure the sound management and preservation of the Green Square, making it a venue for hosting social, cultural, and sporting activities that contribute to addressing the effects of war and strengthening family ties.
His Excellency expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the youth and the popular resistance committees in Khartoum locality and their effective contribution in adopting the campaign to remove weeds and waste and prepare the square to receive the families and children who returned to Khartoum State, noting that this work embodies the fact that homelands are built by the hands of their people.
