Awareness Program on Negative Phenomena in the Community in East Nile Locality Targeting the Students of the Basic Stage

Within the framework of paying attention to mental health and supporting the stability of the community after the difficult circumstances that the country is going through, the Family and Children Association, in cooperation with the National Organization of Beit Makli, Khatwa Humanity Organization implemented an awareness program as part of the Awareness Project to address negative phenomena in the community, targeting the students of the basic stage and the residents of the Hajj Youssef area.
The aim of the program is to raise awareness among students and parents about the dangers of negative appearances and the effects of psychological trauma on students.

The program included classes on mental health for students and psychological recovery from the effects of war, an awareness session on psychological trauma and its types with the participation of psychologists and social workers, and an awareness session for students about the harms of drugs and their psychological and academic impact. Additionally, the program featured a section on free drawing for students.
The Director of the Al-Sheqla Intelligence Office, North, Ahmed Youssef, stated during the program that security is everyone’s responsibility, and it is necessary to combine efforts to establish security and stability. He praised the efforts of Khatwa Humanity Organization and the voluntary and humanitarian role in the recovery of the region through its youth and notables. He promised to provide all facilities to serve citizens.
For his part, Abu Al-Maali Hamza, Deputy Director of Community Efforts at the East Nile Community Police, said that they are in the process of expanding the formation of community committees in residential neighborhoods because of their importance in supporting the police in carrying out their security and criminal duties and establishing security and stability in the community. He appreciated the roles played by Khatwa Humanity Organization in serving the community and the poor and vulnerable segments.
The Director General of Al-Faisal International Group, Mohammed Al-Fadel, said that all neighborhoods in East Nile must be supportive of security, stability and the reconstruction of education, pointing out that Al-Faisal International Group in East Nile Locality and all its other branches, supports all these steps in the field of education.
Indicating that they have started the itinerant academic support project, and there will be coordination with the organizations to be a project with the best professors at the level of Khartoum State, free of charge for all stages, it will be launched next month. He promised a good partnership with the Khatwa organization that will be across the different neighborhoods

Alaa from the Beit Makli National Organization presented an awareness dose on the importance of strengthening religious awareness among children, respecting the opinion of children, encouraging them to express themselves, giving them the confidence to reveal their problems and getting closer to them, and called for increasing awareness of the dangers of drugs and learning healthy ways to deal with psychological pressures and stay away from bad friends and addicts.
Burnett John Oksh Kaur, President of Khatwa Humanity Organization , thanked the attendees, appreciating their stand and support to the organization in moving forward in humanitarian, voluntary and social work.
She praised the great role played by the Civil Support and Services Officer of the Hajj Youssef Muhailem Kamal Youssef Intelligence Office in the East Nile region.
The commander of the Sudanese Joint Coalition in the East Nile region, Major General Dr. Adel Mohamed Moussa, called on the residents of the region to be one hand for the stability and security of the country, pointing out the need to miss the opportunity and not pay attention to rumors, stressing that their work under the umbrella of the armed forces is one hand until the rebellion and those who helped them are eliminated.
The Director of the Administrative Unit in East Nile Locality, Osman Obeid, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Khatwa Humanity Organization in serving the community and the people of the region.
