Minnawi in Port Sudan: Our battle is not political

Governor of Darfur, Minni Arko Minnawi, has returned to his homeland after a foreign tour that included several European and African countries, during which he met with officials and actors in the international community.
In a press release, Minnawi said, “Our primary concern was to explore ways to lift the brutal siege imposed on the city of El Fasher and save our people from hunger, disease, and suffering.”
He added, “I carried with me the voice of the people of Sudan and the voice of besieged El Fasher.”
Darfur Governor continued, “Our battle today is not political as much as it is humanitarian and national, and we will spare no effort until our citizens attain their right to a dignified life, security, and stability.”
