Final arrangements to launch the Drying Day campaign next Tuesday

Within the framework of the national campaign to combat disease vectors, especially dengue fever and malaria, the Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, met with the Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gezira State and the Minister in Charge Dr. Osama Abdel Rahman, in the presence of the Director of Vector Control at the Federal Ministry of Health, Hamza Sami Al-Jak, and a number of leaders of the Federal Ministry.

Dr. Haitham said in a press statement, that the meeting was held in order to review the arrangements of Gezira State , in which we had already launched a campaign to control the disease a month ago, pointing out that a number of axes were identified, including the control of disease vectors, where it was agreed to increase the teams working in the inspection and the state to join the drying campaign scheduled for Saturday and Tuesday of every week, under the slogan (by drying, the fever stops), as well as moving the community at the level of cities and villages, in addition to the spraying operations by planes, which have begun.
A few days ago. With arrangements for more supplies and mechanisms to organize the campaign in all states, and the readiness of hospitals to accommodate cases, as well as the readiness of banks and pharmaceutical supplies.

Dr. Haitham confirmed the enlightenment of the work of the committee concerned with the drying campaign and the development of the map that organized the localities of Khartoum, which includes all activities, interventions and mobilizing the community, pointing out that its details will be announced through the media.

The Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gezira State , Dr. Osama Abdel Rahman, pointed out the review of the epidemiological situation in the state, and the need for urgent support, to meet the steady increase in cases of dengue and malaria, noting the efforts made and the mobilization of the community, stressing that many strategies are being implemented, adding that with the support of the federal health and the state government, we will do everything necessary to combat diseases.
