AcoGaps Concludes effective administrative leadership training course

The African Center for Governance, Peace and Transition Studies (AcoGaps) concluded the second training course on effective administrative leadership in the hall of the Shipping Agencies Chamber in Port Sudan.

Dr. Mahmoud Zein El Abidine, Director General of AcoGaps, said that the training course came within the framework of the Center’s program to support national efforts to promote good governance and institutional development for successful recovery and reconstruction.

It aims to develop leadership and strategic skills, enhance the capacity for effective decision-making in complex environments, manage work teams efficiently to achieve sustainable development goals, and deal with challenges and risks in changing work environments.

The training content was presented by Professor Sirr El Khatim Abdel Rahim Tuto, Professor of Administrative Development at universities, and Dr. Mohi El Din Naeem Mohamed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum.

Trainees from government ministries and institutions, the private sector, armed struggle movements, and civil society participated in the event. The opening session was addressed by Dr. Mahmoud Zein El Abidin, Director General of AcoGaps, Hassan Abkar Hassan, Vice President of the Sudanese Trainers Association; and Dr. Abu Obaida Hasab Al-Rasoul, Director of the National Council for Training and Administrative Systems, representing the Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare.

The closing session was honored by Dr. Mohi El-Din Naeem, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum; Jumaa El-Wakil, Chairman of the National Commission for Human Rights; Dr. Bashir Mohamed Bashir; and Ms. Yusra Ahmed Sharif, members of the Commission.

It is worth noting that AcoGaps implemented forty-five activities, benefiting more than three thousand seven hundred participants from the government, private, and civil society sectors.
