The Minister of Higher Education meets the Rector of Dalanj University

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Mudawi Moussa, stressed that the educational institutions in the country will remain a beacon of science, knowledge and renaissance, stressing the need for concerted efforts to maintain the progress of the educational process in Sudan, touching on the role that peace studies centers in universities can play in promoting a culture of peace, fighting the discourse of regionalism and racism, rejecting violence and improving the social fabric.

This came during his meeting with Prof. Mohamed Dafallah Ahmed, Rector of Dalanj University, at his temporary office in Port Sudan, praising the university’s efforts in serving the issues of higher education and society, the meeting discussed the university’s academic and research conditions.

Prof. Mohamed Dafallah Ahmed Khojaly, Rector of Dalanj University, reviewed the overall academic and administrative conditions at the university, following the systematic destruction that affected it as a result of the rebellion of the Rapid Support Militia, and the consequent displacement of large numbers of students and faculty members, pointing to the steps taken by the university to resume the educational process, including the opening of centers in a number of different states of Sudan, in addition to the conditions of university employees, especially those suffering from the siege on Kadugli and Dalanj, pointing to the university’s efforts It seeks to enable students to continue their studies despite the conditions of the war and the graduation of more than 1,800 students from the various faculties of the university.
