Partnership between the NHIF and Higher education

The Director General of the National Health Insurance Fund ( NHIF), Dr. Farouk Nour Al-Daem, announced the continuation of the partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education. This announcement came during a joint meeting with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Mohamed Hassan Dahab. Under this partnership, health insurance will continue to cover higher education students in Sudanese universities.

The two sides agreed to strengthen the partnership in the field of research and to cover university professors, workers, and their families to achieve social protection. The meeting was attended by the directors of the universities of El Fasher, El Geneina, El Gedaref, and the Red Sea States , where the experiences of the University of El Gedaref and the Red Sea in providing health insurance services to students were discussed.

The meeting concluded with the determination to sign a memorandum of understanding that accommodates the variables in order to contribute to achieving this goal.
