Arkwit Youth Initiative: Spreading Humanity, Awareness, and Ethics

The Arkwit Youth Initiative in Gedaref State continues its pioneering efforts in promoting humanitarian values, raising awareness, and fostering ethics. The initiative concluded the activities of its Awareness Week on the Dangers of Drugs among Youth, in collaboration with the State Anti-Narcotics Department and under the supervision of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. The event was marked by outstanding organization and coordination, reflecting the seriousness of the initiative and the nobility of its mission.

What stood out the most, however, was the massive turnout that filled the celebration square to capacity. The diverse audience, spanning different age groups, highlighted the community’s eagerness for awareness and the initiative’s ability to reach large segments of youth and families alike.

In his speech, Gedaref State Secretary-General of the Youth and Sports Council, Moiz Yousif, stated:

> “The initiative has become well-known not only in Gedaref or Sudan but also across the Arab world. It is writing a new chapter in support and awareness, and we call on young people to inscribe their names in this inspiring history by supporting such initiatives.”

Meanwhile, the initiative’s leader, Musab Qubail, explained that their goal is to “train, educate, and protect young people, in order to build a fully aware and conscious generation that will serve as ambassadors of awareness within society.”

For his part, First Lieutenant Adam Abdulrahman, representing Gedaref’s Anti-Narcotics Department, noted that the initiative targeted 2,000 young men and women in its awareness campaign about the risks and destructive impacts of drugs.

It is worth noting that the Arkwit Youth Initiative does not limit its efforts to awareness campaigns. It has also continued its humanitarian programs, such as the Arkwit Pot initiative that provides food for displaced families, while persistently striving to protect youth from drug abuse and build a conscious, responsible community.
