UN Secretary-General Calls Kamil Idris

The UN News website reported that UN Secretary-General António Guterres spoke by phone today with the Transitional Prime Minister of Sudan, Kamil El-Tayeb Idris, to discuss the humanitarian situation, the protection of civilians, and the delivery of humanitarian aid.

The website stated that Guterres and Idris also discussed the dire humanitarian situation in El Fasher resulting from the ongoing encirclement of the city and the shelling.
