Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Oil Meets Huawei Delegation

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Oil, Dr. Mohi El-Din Naeem Mohamed Saeed, met in his office today with a delegation from the Chinese company Huawei, including Wang Yanlin, the company’s General Manager of Business Marketing.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Ministry’s Oil Information Center, Engineer Adam Ibrahim.
The Undersecretary listened to a briefing from the delegation on the company’s most important projects in Sudan, such as the design and installation of network data storage systems and the construction of solar power plants.
For his part, the Undersecretary praised the distinguished relations with China in all fields, especially in the oil sector, with the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and other companies. He also commended China’s role in development in Sudan for several decades.
The company has expressed its willingness to develop and rehabilitate data systems in the country’s oil sector, especially following the destruction of a number of infrastructure facilities caused by the war.
The company also announced its willingness to submit several bids for the construction of several solar power plants with a total capacity of more than 1,000 megawatts.
