Secondary School Certificate Exams Kick-off

The Sudanese secondary school certificate exams for the 2024 academic year, which were allocated to the postponed batch, begin for the second time in less than two years. kicked-off yesterday (Sunday).
This comes amid extremely difficult living and service conditions, particularly in areas affected by the ongoing war that has been ongoing for more than a year.
Educational sources and professional committees indicate that tens of thousands of students are still denied access to school due to the war.

Ministry of Education: 200,000 students sit for exams amid security and administrative arrangements

The Federal Ministry of Education, which manages operations from its temporary headquarters in Port Sudan, confirmed the completion of technical and administrative arrangements for holding the exams in areas under military control, and that it was able to secure the exam papers and distribute them to approved centers.

The ministry indicated that approximately 200,000 male and female students will take the exams in various states, stressing that the process is proceeding in an orderly manner in most of the announced centers.
