Jaber Affirms Support for Official and Popular Efforts to Defeat Terrorist Militias in West Kordofan

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, met today with the Governor of West Kordofan State, Major General Mohamed Adam Mohamed Gaid.

His Excellency was briefed on the state government’s and the Popular Resistance’s plan to support the armed forces in cleansing the state’s cities and villages of the rebel militia.

The Sovereignty Council member confirmed that the leadership is monitoring the progress of operations in Kordofan and the movements heading to Darfur to defeat the rebel militia, reclaim the cities of Kordofan and Darfur, and achieve comprehensive peace.

For his part, the Governor of West Kordofan, Major General Mohamed Adam, said that he briefed the Sovereignty Council member on the overall security and humanitarian situation in the state, the repercussions of the war on the citizens of West Kordofan, and the complex living conditions facing the people of the state, which require significant attention, monitoring, and the provision of necessary supplies.

His Excellency highlighted the significant efforts of the state government, the Mobilization Committee, and the Popular Resistance in supporting the armed forces to achieve the goals and objectives of the Battle of Dignity.
He noted the support of the state’s people for the armed forces and their supporting forces in achieving victories and restoring security and stability to the citizens.
