South Sudan involved in smuggling Emirati weapons to the RSF

Informed sources have revealed the involvement of South Sudan’s Vice President, Taban Deng, in providing logistical protection for a shipment of weapons and military ammunition, including howitzers, believed to have arrived from the UAE on a C-17 military cargo plane.

According to circulating information, the plane landed at Juba International Airport, where the shipment was unloaded under the direct supervision of forces loyal to the Vice President. Preparations were made for its overland transport into Sudanese territory to be handed over to the Al-Dagalo militia, affiliated with the RSF.

This development raises significant questions about the extent of South Sudan’s involvement in the ongoing conflict in Sudan and the repercussions of such military support on regional stability and diplomatic relations with neighboring countries.
