Workshop to study the determinants of demand for malaria vaccine in Gedaref and Blue Nile States Concludes

The Federal Ministry of Health, represented by the Expanded Immunization Program, the Health Promotion Department, and the National Malaria Control Program, in cooperation with the Middle East Community Health Network (EMPNET), concluded today at Al-Rayh Al-Tarifi Hall in Kassala the enlightenment workshop to study the determinants of demand for the malaria vaccine in the states of Gedaref and Blue Nile.

The Director of the Health Promotion Department, Tawdad Abdullah Al-Khodr, confirmed in a press statement after the conclusion that the workshop lasted for two days, targeting five participants from each state for training on research forms, which aim to determine the community’s understanding of the malaria vaccine, especially since the vaccine consists of four doses, three of which are outside routine vaccination.

On behalf of the Expanded Immunization Program, Nader Hammad said that the malaria vaccine is one of the important vaccines that have entered Sudan, noting that the workshop.
