High-level meeting to discuss the humanitarian situation in Sudan with the participation of the US humanitarian organizations

On Wednesday evening, April 23, 2025, a closed meeting was held via video conference technology at the invitation of the Sudanese Doctors Association in America (SAPA) to discuss the humanitarian situation in Sudan and the current challenges facing the provision of health support.
The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, participated in a speech in which he addressed the most urgent health and humanitarian needs in Sudan, while the Ambassador of Sudan to the United States, Mohamed Abdullah Idris, stressed the importance of strengthening coordination between Sudanese institutions and international bodies to ensure the continuation of humanitarian assistance.
The meeting was attended by representatives of a number of major Islamic humanitarian organizations in the United States, including Islamic Relief USA, Muslim Aid USA, United Mission for Relief and Development (UMR), Human Development Fund (HDF), Droplets of Mercy, AlMaghrib Institute, and MedGlobal ،where participants addressed obstacles related to aid delivery, including funding, coordination, and access issues, while proposing ways to strengthen partnerships with the Sudanese diaspora, especially in the United States.
