SFPA Participates in Evacuation of Victims of the March Attack in Al-Muqran

In a humanitarian initiative to respond to humanitarian emergencies, the youth of the Sudanese Family Planning Association (SFPA) – River Nile State – participated in evacuating the wounded and injured in the brutal crime committed by the Rapid Support Forces militias at Al-Muqran IDPs camp, using drones.
The attack killed more than 10 people and injured approximately 20, most of whom were women, children, and the elderly.
Ms. Khulud Nader, representative of the Youth Department at the SFPA, River Nile Branch, said in press statements following the incident that the association’s youth evacuated the wounded to the police hospital in Atbara to rescue the injured and provided food and psychological support to those affected by the incident.
The SFPA – River Nile – has been one of the first national organizations to undertake humanitarian initiatives since the outbreak of war in the country.
It has been present in IDPs camps in River Nile State, providing primary healthcare programs through mobile clinics, and sheltering refugees in the state by providing tents and psychological counseling to those affected by the ravages of war.
