Nile Valley University organizes a training workshop in writing news reports

Sponsored by the Department of Mass Communication at the Faculty of Arts, Nile Valley University, the specialized training workshop “Writing News and Articles: From Theory to Practice” will begin on Tuesday, April 15th.
The workshop will continue until Thursday, April 17th, and will be held in the faculty’s Grand Hall.

The workshop will be presented by Professor Mubarak Youssef Mohamed and Dr. Mekki Mohamed Mekki, two of the department’s most prominent professors with extensive academic and professional experience in journalism and media.
The workshop aims at developing students’ editorial skills, enhance their ability to write professional journalistic writing, link the theoretical aspect to practical application, in addition to consolidating the ethics of journalistic work and building a critical awareness that helps them to read and analyze media events professionally and objectively. .
In a statement on Berber Community Radio, Mr. Shazly Abdel Salam Mohamed, Head of the Media Department, confirmed that organizing this workshop comes within the framework of the department’s plan to link the educational process with the needs of society and the labor market. The head of the department also valued the distinguished relationship between the department and Berber Community Radio, praising the good reception and spirit of cooperation that he found during the last visit to the radio, sending a message of thanks and appreciation to Professor Tijani Suleiman and the radio team for their efforts and full readiness to support academic and training programs.
Shazly indicated that the department is looking forward to expanding the areas of cooperation with local and regional media institutions in the areas of training, rehabilitation and content production, in order to enhance the university’s role in serving community issues and contributing to the development of professional media discourse.
