Al-Burhan Receives Official Invitation to Visit Cairo

Lt. Gen. Abydel Fattah al-Burhan, Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, received a written letter from his brother, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
The letter included an official invitation to visit the Arab Republic of Egypt in the coming period. It also emphasized Egypt’s support for Sudan during these difficult circumstances.
This came during his meeting with the Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan, Ambassador Hani Salah, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Ali Youssef.
Ambassador Hani said in a press statement that Lt. Gen. Al-Burhan welcomed the invitation, indicating that both the Sudanese and Egyptian sides will work to ensure proper arrangements for this visit.
He added that the meeting addressed developments in Sudan, including the situation in Darfur and the London Conference on Sudan held recently.
He added that he briefed the Head of the Sovereignty Council on the course of bilateral relations and the ongoing arrangements for holding the second edition of the Sudanese-Egyptian Business Forum.
The Egyptian ambassador stated that his country supports Sudan based on the fraternal ties that bind the two brotherly peoples.
He added, “We want to transform the crisis Sudan is experiencing, which the world calls forgotten, into a crisis that will never be forgotten.”
He praised the sacrifices and resilience of the Sudanese people during this crisis, as well as the solidarity and support of its people to rebuild what was destroyed by the war.
