Finance Ministry launches the first enlightenment workshop on electronic collection and payment

Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning launched the first enlightenment workshop to enlighten executive leaderships at the level of ministries and federal government units on the electronic collection and payment system.
For his part,, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee for Electronic Payment, Abdullah Ibrahim, emphasized, during his address to the workshop with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture and Forests at the Ministries Complex today, the importance of the system in bringing about a qualitative shift in enhancing financial inclusion and transparency; indicating that the system is a general government system and aims at increasing revenues and reduce corruption and waste of resources, which contributes to mobilizing resources for spending on priorities, describing it as a step towards digital transformation, indicating the state’s interest at its highest levels in implementing the system.
He revealed the Ministry of Finance’s direction to issue the General Finance Law and start working on an integrated system for financial inclusion that aims to control liquidity and reduce borrowing from the banking system.
,Director General of Information Technology and Head of the Technical Committee of the Electronic Payment Emergency Room, Lamia Mohammed Al Nour presented a light show to enlighten the strategic and general objectives of electronic collection and payment.
The participants praised the system and its importance in enhancing the performance of the national economy and keeping pace with technological developments worldwide.
