Khartoum Emergency Committee directs to support the localities that have been cleared of the rebellion

The Supreme Committee for Emergency and Crisis Management in Khartoum State decided in its meeting today, headed by the Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, to move in all directions to keep pace with current developments by supporting the localities that have been cleared of the rebel militia, through opening the streets, cleaning, and intensifying work to restore water and electricity and prepare them for the return of citizens, while the Ministry of Health is active in combating disease vectors and epidemics in the old neighborhoods of Bahri
and Kafouri.

The meeting also directed all units of the state to work on securing their units and confining what is inside them in preparation for restoring work in them in the localities of Omdurman, Karari, and Ombada.
The meeting listened to reports from the Electricity Department on the efforts made to restore electricity in Khartoum North.
The Director of Khartoum North Electricity expected the return of power to the Tamaniyat water station and most of the villages of Northern Khartoum North, while the militia caused severe damage to the Shambat, Saad gishra, Al-Ezba, and Shendi stations.
In the context, the meeting reviewed the arrangements made by the committee tasked with moving shelters from schools to alternative locations to enable students to attend school regularly. The meeting directed the committee to intensify its work and complete its tasks as soon as possible.
