Federal Minister of Health Meets Hajj Abdullah Hospital Committee in Gezira State

The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, affirmed his ministry’s commitment to provide health services fairly, noting that Haj Abdullah Hospital is an emergency and trauma center. This came during his meeting with a delegation from Haj Abdullah Hospital in Gezira State, headed by Mohamed Sayed Ahmed, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and in the presence of a number of leaders of the Federal Ministry of Health.

The minister explained that the next phase will witness the rehabilitation of 30 hospitals in the state of Gezira as part of a hundred-day plan, stressing the ministry’s commitment to operating health facilities, providing basic medical equipment, and ensuring drug supply. He also stressed the priority of the state of Al-Jazeera in distributing ambulances, noting that the state is subjected to violations and looting of ambulances due to the Rapid Support Militias. In this context, the minister announced a subsidy worth ten million pounds for the medical staff working in the hospital.

Mohamed Sayed Ahmed explained that Haj Abdullah Hospital provides its health services to 118 villages from Gezira State and 57 villages from Sennar State, pointing out that its construction was done through self-efforts
