A delegation from the National Center for Gastroenterology and Liver visited the Gezira Center for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Laparoscopic Surgery, to find out about the restoration of the operation of the digestive system services at the center and the gradual restart of the diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy service.

The technical status of the endoscopes was also examined in preparation for the re-operation of the bile duct endoscope, as this center was the first center to provide this service after the war. 375 bile duct endoscopes were performed before the rebellion entered Gezira State, and the center’s staff were trained to ensure the continuation of this service after the reference center moved to the National Center for the Gastroenterology in Kassala .
