Jaber praises Germany’s supportive stances towards Sudan

Member of the Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, praised the advanced level of bilateral relations between Sudan and Germany, stressing the government’s keenness to establish peace and stop the suffering of the Sudanese people.

His Excellency stressed, during his meeting in his office in Port Sudan today with Mr. Niels Annen, Parliamentary State Secretary at the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Sudan’s keenness to deliver humanitarian aid to citizens affected by the war in conflict areas and displaced persons in safe states.

Jaber pointed out Sudan’s readiness to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to those entitled to it and facilitate the work of relief teams and employees of organizations working in the humanitarian field.

The meeting discussed the current situation in the country and its impact on the regional and international environment.

For his part, Mr. Niels Annen said that his visit, which is the first to Port Sudan, aims to hold high-level meetings to emphasize that Germany will continue to support and participate in helping the Sudanese people in difficult situations.

The German Minister referred to the advanced bilateral relations and friendship between the peoples of the two countries and Germany’s history of providing assistance to the people of Sudan.
He expressed his confidence that the contribution that Germany provides will reach the people most in need and will contribute to achieving a better and brighter future for the Sudanese people.
