Establishment of first safe house for female survivors in the eastern states of Sudan

The opening was held in the presence of international organizations and in the presence of the Director of UN Women United Nations and from IOM, representative of the Emergency and Violence Unit, Miss Suzy From UNICEF, Mr. Howaida Badri, Child Protection Unit Director of UNDP And honoring two of the most active businessmen who gave support during war period, especially for the segment of female survivors, Mr. Ahmed Abdel-Ati, Mr. Mirghani wagdi Mirghani. Director of the Violence Unit, Dr. Salima Ishaq. And the Young Dreams Organization Dr. Khadija Zakaria.

Counselor Lubni Ali, head of the Bit Makali Organization, confirmed that the “Aman” Center’s services include psychological, health and social care, rehabilitation, integration, and transformative training with economic empowerment, referral to specialized authorities, and legal support. She pointed out that the clinical capacity of the Aman Center is (15) beds. An integrated training center, psychological and medical clinics, and a mobile laboratory. Makali indicated that the management of the “Aman” Center will begin receiving survivors on Thursday. Makali praised the role of the partners who confirmed their support for the center, Sudani Company, Qatar Charity Foundation, and TIKA Foundation Bit Makali volunteers and guests of honor.
