Highlights of the speech of the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, on the occasion of the (69) anniversary of independence

▪︎ This anniversary passes our country under difficult circumstances and conditions that the Sudanese people have endured with all bravery and sacrifice.
▪︎ The truth has become clear and the lines have become distinguished, so downfall and woe to those traitors and mercenaries from the militia and their supporters and assistants.
▪︎ The unprecedented popular cohesion and national solidarity have enabled us all to walk on the path to decisive victory, with God’s help.
▪︎ Greetings to the Sudanese people, the mobilized and regular forces (army, police and security) and the forces of the armed struggle movements (joint forces) and entities, as there is not a single patriot who has failed to participate in the war of dignity.
▪︎ Preparing to resolve the battle in favor of the Sudanese people does not prevent us from engaging in any real initiative that ends this war and ensures the safe return of citizens to their homes.
▪︎ Our path is clear and it is the path of the people, that the situation cannot return to what it was before April 15, 2023, and the presence of these killers, criminals and their supporters among the Sudanese people cannot be accepted again.
▪︎ The government has responded to all the requirements of humanitarian work and the delivery of aid to those in need, and the government will remain committed to this matter.
▪︎ The state and its fighting forces are committed to international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions and their protocols, and the laws for the protection of civilians, and we have put in place strict controls to preserve this humanitarian value.
▪︎ The government is making commendable efforts to facilitate people’s lives and security and support the maintenance of infrastructure and health, education and agricultural services.
▪︎ The rumors about a famine in the country are pure slanders intended to interfere in Sudanese affairs.
▪︎ Greetings to Fasher El-Sultan, Fasher of glory and history, the lion’s mustache. Greetings to its men, women, youth and army with all its components, peace parties, regular and joint forces (high morale), mobilized and people.
▪︎ Greetings to our soldiers in every location as they draw the scenes of glory and steadfastness. Greetings to everyone who joined the bodies of defending the homeland and the right, as the Sudanese people are the ones leading this war and are victorious with the help, power and strength of God.
▪︎ I renew my congratulations to the people of my country on this glorious anniversary and I ask God to accept the martyrs of the war of dignity and to heal the wounded and injured and release the prisoners.
▪︎ I renew thanks of the government and people of Sudan to all those who stood by them in support and assistance, including brotherly and friendly countries, voluntary organizations, the United Nations and its agencies, and all sectors of the Sudanese people at home and abroad.
▪︎ I give good news to my honorable citizens that the hour of victory has approached and the time of decisiveness has come, and may the cowards not sleep.
