AL affirms its firm position in supporting Sudan’s stability

The Arab League reiterated its firm position in supporting Sudan’s stability and preserving its unity, sovereignty and independence.

The Arab League expressed, in a statement yesterday, its concern about reports related to the indiscriminate bombing of the Zamzam camp for displaced persons in North Darfur State and the resulting deaths and injuries of civilians, which represents a clear violation of international humanitarian law.

The Arab League stressed the need to implement the obligations of the Jeddah Declaration, including its commitment to protecting civilians and the need to reach a ceasefire.
