Al-Burhan, Kiir hold joint talks session

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, 1st. Lieutenant-General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, and the President of the Republic of South Sudan Salva Kiir Mayardit met at the Guest Palace in Juba. the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, who welcomed the Head of the Sovereignty Council on his visit to Juba, stressing their support for the Sudanese people to achieve security and stability, and his country’s readiness to make any efforts to stop the war and end the conflict in Sudan.
He expressed his appreciation for the level of joint cooperation between the two countries, and the strengthening of the relationship between Sudan and South Sudan to achieve the hopes and aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
The discussions also dealt with ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations to serve the peoples of the two countries, in addition to the prospects for joint cooperation, and issues of concern to the two countries in all fields.
The two sides agreed to consult to reach a mechanism that transports humanitarian aid to South Kordofan via Juba International Airport.
The discussions also dealt with the South Sudan oil file and the outstanding files between the two countries, in addition to the issue of South Sudan’s oil transportation, as the two sides agreed to form a joint committee from the Ministry of Energy and Oil in both Sudan and South Sudan, and to develop an operational plan to re-pump and overcome all obstacles relating to its operation, so that the pipe line could fully function.
At the conclusion of the talks, the Head of the Sovereignty Council expressed his great appreciation for the strong brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries, adding that the two peoples are one people in two countries.
He praised the role of the Republic of South Sudan in maintaining the safety, security and stability of Sudan.
He stressed that the security and stability of Sudan is the security and stability of South Sudan. It should be noted that the talks were attended by the Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Awad, Acting Minister of Energy and Oil, Eng. Mohy El-Din Naim, and the Sudanese Ambassador to Juba, Ambassador Essam Karrar.
