Al-Burhan grants his special presidential envoy, Al-Sadiq Ismail, the rank of Lt. Gen.

Head of the Sovereignty Council, 1st. Lt. Gen. Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, yesterday evening decorated the special presidential envoy of the Head of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Al-Sadiq Ismail – who was his former office manager – with the rank badge of the Lieutenant General on his shoulders.
In the military context, the commander grants the new rank to the promoted by placing the new rank badge on his uniform.
Therefore, Al-Burhan granted Al-Sadiq Ismail the rank of Lieutenant General because he is under his direct management.
Lieutenant General Al-Sadiq Ismail is the first graduate of the (36) batch of the Military College, and he is the oldest Major General in the armed forces. He enjoys the confidence of the Head of the Sovereignty Council, who previously assigned him several military tasks and files, including visits to a number of countries since the beginning of the April war last year.
He has held the position of Director of Al-Burhan’s Office since the period of the Military Council, and was previously a military attaché in Jordan.
It is important to note that Lt. Gen. Al-Sadig faces many external files that require great diplomacy and skills, in the context of global and regional interventions, as (10) external initiatives were held aimed at finding a solution to the Sudanese crisis.
It is expected that he will conduct external tours related to the current situation in Sudan in the near future
