Agar briefed on the performance of the Ministry of Energy and Oil

Deputy Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Malik Agar Ayre,
was breifed on the performance of the Ministry of Energy and oil when he received today, the Minister of Energy and Oil in charge, Dr. Mohy El-Din Naim.
He pointed out to the importance of establishing modern reference laboratories as a strategic project, especially fuel liberalization.
The meeting touched on the progress of work and the efforts made to address the issue of sorting bids and importing fuel.
For his part, the Minister of Energy and Oil in charge said in a press statement that the meeting discussed the steps and measures taken by the Ministry regarding the establishment of the reference lab, noting that the bids were sorted and the implementation will be carried out in the coming months in accordance with the state’s policies of fuel, especially the involvement of the private sector.
He added that there is a joint coordination between the Ministry and the Transportation Authority with regard to the import process to provide oil derivatives, without affecting the price of the dollar in the parallel market.
