AUC and SRF Discuss Political Developments

The African Union Commission (AUC) Chairperson, Moussa Faki Mahamat, and the Sudan Revolutionary Front leadership , headed by Dr. El Hadi Idris, discussed, today at the Corinthia Hotel in Khartoum, the political developments taking place in the country, in light of the framework political agreement that will be signed in the coming days.

The meeting was attended by the Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security of the African Union Commission, Bankole Adeoye and Director of the Executive Office, Mohamed Al-Hassan Ould Labat .

The Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF), official spokesman Osama Saeed , said in a statement to SUNA that the leadership of the SRF briefed the African Union Commission on the current political developments in the country.

Saeed explained that the meeting discussed a number of issues and the role of the African Union in facilitating this political process to reach a civilan-led government.

He lauded the efforts made by the African Union Commission (AUC) to address the Sudanese political crisis, through its contribution to the tripartite mechanism.

SRF official spokesman indicated that the workshops are intended to reach the stakeholders’ opinion on the final issues of the political agreement.
