Narcissistic Acts: Knowledge and Education – PART 1

The world is built on knowledge. The beginning of our existence started with Adam trying to KNOW what the fruits of that tree were like, and he wanted to KNOW why that tree was forbidden. It all started seeking for knowledge!
The process of gaining knowledge is not complicated, but there are many aspects affecting its fluency and its transferring from one person to another and from one institution to the other. The motivation for seeking knowledge, the sources from which you get Knowledge, the mentality of the population involved, the audiences at the place of gaining knowledge, the surrounding environment itself, and the available resources, all of that and more make great differences affecting Knowledge and its process of transferring. In the next few lines, you will read how the process of knowledge is affected by and through all the previously mentioned aspects, with examples been taken in focus from low income countries.
The first thing that affects having good knowledge is the sources from which we get the information’s. In many parts of some of the Low-Income countries – where knowledge is greatly affected by this aspect – and my country is no exception, happens that everyone has knowledge! No person in the street DOES NOT know all things, if you asked for the direction of some place they will direct you immediately, even it happens that they DON’T KNOW. And here comes the culture of the population mixed with their mentality, the way they were raised, and the way their minds were programed. To some people, specialty men, it is kind of a shame if they don’t know the answer so, the tell you any answer, even if it’s a wrong one. The reasonable explanation for this is that they are so narcissistic to say that they simply don’t know. Many of the information’s we received as children had incorrect aspects about them, for some reasons our families wanted to frighten us not to do something, they somehow thought they were protecting us, or they were just too pride to say they didn’t know, and this so called “their nature” transferred to the next generation and so on.
The incorrect transferring of knowledge helps in the retardation of the nations. If you took a deeper look at the most retarded countries and nations, you will find them Third-World with extremely Low-Income. The individuals at such countries hold too tight to knowledge and never ever pass it to the other person, whether she/he was his own son or family member, a neighbor, or even at a society level. I personally know people prefer to die than tell you how they applied for that scholarship, or where they got their car polished, they want to be the ONLY one to have a nice car and the only one to compete at an international scholarship. And you can take that for larger scales, some people want to be the only one sitting on that diamond chair of ruling, and others like very much to be the only one who knows this information. I never understood the privilege of being the only person who knows this or that information?! There are people who actually enjoys this, which can be referred to nothing but being a narcissist! Haven’t they heard what Myles Munroe said: (Don’t die old, die empty. That’s the goal of life. Go to the cemetery and disappoint the graveyard). The pleasure is when you exchange your knowledge with another person or group, that is how we grow, and that is how the world evolves.
When people ask to know something, they put their trust to receive a reliable information that they will be passing on to others as well. So, when they receive a manipulated incorrect answer they will be spreading false knowledge to their all surroundings. This is more seen at schools, when kids ask those little too many silly questions that many of them you really don’t know how to answer, but instead of giving them just answers to make them stop asking or go away, it is better to think of the most correct answers to tell, because it will be stuck in their minds for many years to come until they discover the correct answers themselves.
I would like to conclude with some of the incorrect funny “knowledge” I received and believed as a child and later discovered them to be just wrong! First: if you go out at night there are monsters who eat your heart. Second: if you swallowed a lemon or an orange seed you will grow a tree inside your stomach. Third: if the two married couple didn’t get Girtik ceremony (which is a beautiful after wedding ceremony where both relatives of the bride and groom join to participate putting nice perfumed mixtures and adornments for the married coupled) they will not have children! This in addition to other funny information’s that I discovered later to be incorrect.
