In a smart partnership that will make a qualitative leap in the ongoing efforts of Khartoum State to enhance cleaning systems, it was announced that a Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU ) was signed between Khartoum State Cleaning Authority and the Sudani Telecom Company, a matter that will make a major qualitative leap that pushes forward the efforts of Khartoum State in the fields of waste recycling.
This came during the meeting of Eng. Mustafa Moayad, Director of Social Responsibility Department at Sudani Telecom Company Ltd, with Dr. Musab Brier, Chairman of the Board of Investment and Community Partnerships at Khartoum State Cleaning Authority, and Mr. Abdul Rahman Youssef, Director of Community Partnerships Department.
Moayad welcomed the partnership proposal with the Khartoum State Cleaning Authority, considering that a Sudanese company has previously adopted valuable projects for the Authority and Khartoum State, and reflected the great efforts that Sudan has been making in the field of electronic waste, expressing their openness to make the year 2023 the year of strengthening the cleaning systems of Khartoum State.
For his part, Brier praised the sincere national efforts that Sudani Telecom Co. has been providing through its valuable program of social responsibility, which covers many gaps that require a kind of integration and support, especially since the waste recycling program did not find sufficient attention previously, stressing that Sudani’s sponsorship of Khartoum State Program for Electronic Waste Recycling will enable it to launch the latest in what it has reached.
The program will benefit from the international experiences in terms of establishing collection points and strengthening them through the design of a specialized electronic application, especially after one of the recycling companies started establishing an integrated complex for recycling electronic waste as the first complex in Sudan.
Furthermore, Youssef welcomed the smart partnership with Sudani Telecom Co., pledging to push the maximum possible energy to make it successful for the sake of the citizens of Khartoum State.
In conclusion, a delegation of the Khartoum State Cleaning Authority toured some of the social responsibility sites implemented by Sudani Telecom Co., especially in the field of paving and repairing roads and strengthening some public squares as a sophisticated artistic creativity in front of the Sudani Telecom Co. leadership.
