Al-Jakoomi Reveals Reasons behind Rejecting the Framework Agreement
Chief of the Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF) and rapporteur of the leading council of Sudan Call Forces revealed the reasons behind his rejection to the Framework Agreement, affirming that an article in the agreement stipulates that the signatories of the political declaration will be responsible for the formation of the structure of the transitional authority i.e. Sovereign Council, Council of Ministers, Legislative Councils, and Local Councils.
He added in a televised interview that the Framework Agreement was signed on December 5th, 2022 and up to this moment nobody knows the political declaration which was signed by certain groups to form the transitional authority.
He added that they repeatedly affirm that such small groups will not be allowed to monopolize the governance.
He concluded that the Sudanese people rejected the Framework Agreement and took to the streets to express their rejection, adding that the Sudanese aspiration is to live in a stable country under a democratic rule.
