Graduation ceremony for the advance Field Epidemiology Training Program Convened

The 5th of January 2023 marks an important milestone for Sudan FETP program.Under the patronage of his excellency Minister of Health Dr.Haitham awadallah, the graduation ceremony for second cohort of the advance Field Epidemiology Training Program was held at Alsalam Rotana Hotel.

Eight Advance FETP graduated , deployed in national and subnational levels at West darfur state, Gadarif State, Blue Nile State and Red Sea State.

In his remarks, Sudan FETP Director and the Director General of the Health Emergency and Response ,Dr.Muntasir.M Osman highlighted the importance of this milestone and urged the importance of partners support for the sustainability and the expansion of the program.

The experience of EMPHNET – GHD in establishment and sustainability of FETP programs at EMR region, including Sudan, was shared by Dr.haitham basheer head of work force and capacity building, EMPHNET -GHD.

Dr.M.nageeb,Sudan FETP technical advisor presented The experience of Sudan FETP supporting Outbreaks investigations, surveillance system evaluations and analysis at national and subnational levels.

Remarks from WHO- Sudan by Dr.Altaf Mohamed, Acting WR was shared during the ceremony , Highlighting the Importance of this training for capacity building in the field Epidemiology.
