Al-Burhan affirms state’s commitment to complete security arrangements
The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, affirmed, during his address today the public meeting organized in honor of his visit to the Oulu region of the Blue Nile region, the state’s commitment to completing security arrangements to avoid returning to the war zone.
He indicated the Armed Forces commitment to support issues of return, of provision of water, health and education services, calling on the citizens in general and the native administration in particular to He called on citizens in general and the civil administration to renounce division, support peaceful coexistence, and exalt the values of equal citizenship for all.
He appreciated stances of Commander Malik Aqar and Chieftian Alam Moon and their keenness to support peace, development and peaceful coexistence in the region, promising to visit the city of Bau to see on the ground the situation of the returnees.
Malek Agar, the member of the TSC, affirmed refusal to return to war, calling on the returnees to use their own capabilities to make the return program, under his sponsorship and personal participation successful, with giving concern to education.
Lieutenant General Ahmed El-Omda Badi, the Governor of the Blue Nile region, praised visit of the President of the TSC, to the Oulu region, describing it as an unprecedented historical visit.
He asserted the citizens of the region support for the central government, calling for the need to expedite the completion of the implementation of the Juba peace agreement for Sudan in general and the security arrangements clause in particular.
The Commissionor of Bau Province, called on the citizens to adhere to the peace option and work to deepen the principles of equality and peaceful coexistence, declaring rejection of calls to review the Juba peace agreement.
The Secretary-General of the SPLM stressed the importance of continuing implementation of the Juba Sudan Peace Agreement, calling for the need to work to complete the provisions of the agreement, complete the structures of the executive authority in the region, and compensate those affected by the previous war.
Nazir, Aalim Moon appreciated stances of the TSC President and his sincere support to the efforts for implementing the Juba Peace Agreement, reviewing the challenges facing the return program, as well as the challenges related to the schools’ curricula of the children of the returnees.
The President of the TSC held a qualitative meeting including the representatives of returnees, displaced persons and farmers.
The President of the TSC General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and Commander-in-Chief of the People’s Armed Forces, accompanied by Lieutenant General Malik Aqar, member of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the People’s Army, Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, Governor of the Blue Nile Region, and Lieutenant General Mohammed Othman Al-Hussein, Chief of Staff, visited the Oulu area this morning in framework of the program of the visit to the region.
The visiting delegation to Oulu was received at the Oulu airstrip by a number of members of the regional government, the Secretary-General of the regional government, and Sheikh Al-Dud Bakhut, the Secretary-General of the People’s Movement, with the participation of Jaafar Jaklo, the governor of Bau Province, and the principal, Aalim Moon Jaber.
The visit comes in support of return of the refugees, inspection on the progress of security arrangements in the region.
The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council concluded his visit to the region, which lasted for two days, during which he participated in the annual celebration of the armed forces, which began on the 15th of December last year and lasted for a month, he also attended the signing ceremony of the framework agreement for peaceful coexistence in the Blue Nile region and chaired the cabinet meeting and visited the city of Oulu, the headquarters of the SPLM-N.
