Hajar gets assured on overall situation in Al-Kuma Locality, North Darfur

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council Al-Tahir Abu-Bakr Hajar has got assured on the overall security and service situation in Al-Kuma Locality in North Darfur state.

Hajar was briefed, during his meeting with the locality’s security committee in the presence of the locality’s executive director and the chief of Al-Ziyadia tribe, on the security situation in Al-Kuma Locality. Hajar underlined, during his address to the qualitative meeting at the headquarters of the Locality, that Sudan faces many political challenges, especially with regard to the implementation of the Juba Peace Agreement, pointing out that the successive governments that have ruled the country since independence have failed to manage diversity a matter that has caused marginalization of parts of the country, resulted in a wide war and conflicts that crippled the country.

The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council said that providing the necessary services to citizens was one of the basic duties of the state, pointing to the lack of services in many areas covered by his inspection visit, stressing that achieving the desired development requires the integration of official and popular efforts as well as the efforts of international, regional and national organizations.

Meanwhile, Hajar paid visit to Al-Kuma Police Station and the compound of teachers’ offices in the three stages and pre-school education in the locality, announcing his donation of ten million pounds to complete the construction of the complex, pledging to construct a house for the Women’s Union in Al-Kuma and to complete the buildings of Al-Kuma police station.
