Sudan Joins Global Police Summit in New York

Sudan’s Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. (Legal) Babiker Samra Mustafa, has arrived in New York, United States, leading the Sudanese delegation participating in the Fifth World Summit of Interior Ministers and Police Chiefs. The summit brings together interior ministers, police chiefs, and representatives of law enforcement agencies from around the world.

According to the Sudan Police Press Office, the Sudanese delegation also includes Inspector General of the Sudan Police Force, First Lt. Gen. (Legal) Amir Abdelmonim Fadl, and Maj. Gen. Mahmoud Suleiman, Director General of International Cooperation.

The summit will address a range of key security issues of mutual concern, including combating organized and transnational crime, strengthening cooperation and coordination among law enforcement agencies, enhancing training protocols and capacity-building initiatives, and promoting the exchange of international expertise and best practices.

These efforts aim to improve policing performance, curb criminal activities, and enhance security and stability at both the regional and international levels.
