ICESCO and Sudan Discuss Strengthening Cooperation in Training and Capacity Building

The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and the Government of Sudan have discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of training, capacity building, administrative development, and professional qualification.

The discussions took place during a meeting between ICESCO Director-General Dr. Salim M. AlMalik and Sudan’s Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Dr. Abubakar Koko Dahiya, at the organization’s headquarters in Rabat, Morocco.

During the meeting, attended by Sudan’s Ambassador to Morocco, Ms. Mawadda Omar Haj Al-Tom, the Director-General reaffirmed ICESCO’s support for Sudan in light of the current challenges facing the country. He expressed the organization’s readiness to mobilize its expertise and resources to contribute to Sudan’s recovery efforts and the strengthening of its institutional capacities.

Dr. AlMalik also reviewed ICESCO’s experience in modernizing its administrative structure over recent years. He noted that young professionals now make up more than 60% of the organization’s workforce, while women hold approximately 50% of leadership positions. He further highlighted that ICESCO has obtained several international certifications and accreditations in the fields of knowledge, creativity, and innovation.
