Director General’s Council at the Ministry of Social Development Reviews Performance and Sets Priorities for the Next Phase

The Director General’s Council of the Ministry of Social Development in Khartoum State held its regular meeting under the chairmanship of Siddiq Hassan Freini, Director General of the Ministry and Acting Minister.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Dhulfiqar Ali Mohamed, Secretary-General of the Higher Council for Human Resources and Labour, who was assigned to oversee the Ministry’s affairs during the Eid holiday, along with council members representing the Ministry’s internal and external departments.

The meeting commenced with Eid greetings to ministry staff, followed by a review of performance reports for the previous period and an assessment of implementation plans. Department representatives presented key achievements and progress made in carrying out activities within their respective mandates. The council also discussed major current challenges and explored plans for the upcoming phase.
Participants commended Siddiq Freini’s resilience in addressing existing challenges and wished continued success to all concerned.

For his part, Minister Freini expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Dhulfiqar Ali Mohamed for his efforts during the Eid period, highlighting his distinguished performance and active engagement throughout the holiday.
The Minister also praised the State Government for approving the Ministry’s Emergency Response Plan, as well as the Emergency Operations Room, humanitarian organizations that provided assistance, and ministry staff for their contributions across the areas of care, development, and protection.

He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to placing all its resources at the disposal of social institutions and centers and directed all departments to identify and submit their priorities to form the basis of the Ministry’s action plan for the next phase.
