Federal Zakat Chamber and NSWF Discuss Enhancing Student Sponsorship

A delegation from the Federal Zakat Chamber, headed by the Director General of Banks, Kamal Mohamed Mahmoud, met with the Secretary General of the National Students Welfare Fund (NSWF), Dr. Ahmed Hamza Al-Amin, in the presence of the Director of Student Services at the Fund, Ms. Sawsan Abu Bakr, and the Director of Sponsorship, Dr. Anwar Ali Ibrahim.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides on issues related to student well-being, particularly in the areas of financial, food, and recreational sponsorship, as well as supporting the dissemination of Zakat principles.

The Zakat Chamber delegation also included the Director of the Audit and Inspection Department, Diji Al-Qamrawi, the Director of the Advocacy and Media Department, Musa Yusuf, and several members of the joint coordination committee between the Chamber and the Fund. The meeting reviewed the Zakat Chamber’s contributions to sponsoring students and its continued support, especially during the war period, stressing the importance of this role in supporting the stability of students and alleviating their burdens.

Both sides agreed to deepen communication and joint coordination in a way that contributes to strengthening student sponsorship programs and expanding their scope during the next stage.
