A joint meeting between the Minister of Health, the Rector of the University of Khartoum, and the administration of Soba University Hospital

The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, listened to a detailed briefing on Soba Teaching Hospital, which is affiliated with the University of Khartoum, regarding its needs and rehabilitation. He congratulated the hospital administration on the start of operations for the first phase, as well as the beginning of the return of the mystoma center.

During the meeting at his office at the Ministry today, the Minister directed the Rector of the University of Khartoum, Prof. Emad Al-Din Al-Taher Ardeeb, and the delegation from the hospital, headed by the Deputy Principal, Dr. Mustafa Al-Nour, to provide the necessary support in all fields to restore the hospital to its original functioning. This includes following up on projects with supporters, devices, equipment, and ambulances, in light of the destruction that occurred during the war, pointing out the possibility of benefiting from the supports provided by some entities such as the King Salman Center, the State of Qatar and others, as well as supporting them through various national programs.

The Rector of the University, Prof. Emad El-Din Al-Taher Ardeeb, confirmed the continuation of cooperation and communication between the university and the Federal Ministry, noting that the meeting aimed to enlighten the minister about the work inside Soba Hospital and the Mystoma Center. He added that “there was great destruction of the university and its affiliated hospitals.”
