Al-Burhan Addresses the Nation on Eid Al-Fitr Occasion

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the Master of Messengers. Praise be to God who granted the Sudanese people strength, patience, and steadfastness. Praise be to God who provided us with the means to victory over the enemies of the nation. O noble and generous Sudanese people, valiant soldiers of the Battle of Dignity, peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you, and may you be well every year.

May you grow stronger and more united every year, and we ask God to grant us the next Eid while our country enjoys security and peace. On this blessed day, we ask God to accept our martyrs, heal our wounded, free our prisoners, and grant a decisive victory to the soldiers of Sudan.

O honorable citizens, greetings to you, the origin of civilization and the embodiment of glory. You consistently demonstrate to the world the values ​​of loyalty, pride, and dignity, proving day after day that you are defiant against enemies and united in times of hardship and adversity. Today, you are steadily marching towards the liberation of the homeland, the rebuilding of the state, and the revitalization of it after the enemies sought its destruction and annihilation.

Our valiant soldiers in the Armed Forces, the regular forces, the supporting formations, and the mobilized popular resistance, the people have entrusted you with their confidence, and you have risen to the challenge, proceeding with the same resolve, strength, and determination to cleanse every corner of our country from the scourge of rebellion and those who tamper with its security. You have been the epitome of courage, selflessness, and sacrifice. What you have offered and continue to offer will remain a shining record in the annals of Sudanese history.

Honorable citizens, there is no doubt that you have borne, and continue to bear, the consequences and repercussions of this war and its heavy cost with pain and patience. You have offered the most precious sacrifices, hoping for a bright and secure future for your homeland. Therefore, we in the leadership of the state have been keen to engage positively with every peace initiative that meets the requirements of security and does not revive or reinstate the causes of war. We remain hopeful that mediators and those seeking to end the war will respond and assist us in implementing the peace initiatives presented by the Sudanese government. These initiatives address the people’s demands for the dismantling and complete elimination of any role for the rebel militia, which has committed war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity, in Sudan’s future.

We reiterate that there will be no truce or ceasefire without the complete withdrawal and disarmament of this militia as a prerequisite for any peace process. Any peace plan must be comprehensive, accompanied by a timetable that culminates in lasting peace and ensures that no armed group remains outside official frameworks.

Our dear citizens, we renew our pledge to you that we will work together to cleanse our country of the terrorist Dagalo militia and its collaborators. We will stand together to build the state, complete its institutions, and lay sound and disciplined foundations for the normalization of civilian life and the establishment of the principle of the peaceful transfer of power.

The noble people of Sudan must thank the brotherly and friendly nations that have stood and continue to stand by the Sudanese people, supporting them and their legitimate institutions. We also reiterate our condemnation of the heinous attacks perpetrated against our brothers in the Gulf States, Lebanon, Palestine, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, and we declare our full solidarity with them.

In conclusion, greetings to the loyal sons and daughters of my country who are working to normalize and restore life to the capital and other cities ravaged by the hands of the rebellion. Greetings to you, soldiers and people of my country, as you move towards completing and cleansing the country of the stain of rebellion. We pledge to continue together to achieve the victory that is now near—a victory from God and a near triumph.
