Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare Congratulates Eid al-Fitr

The Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare,  Motassim Ahmed Saleh, extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to the Sudanese people on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, asking God to return it to the country with goodness, mercy, and blessings.

The Minister expressed his hope that the holy month, with its spiritual values, will contribute to strengthening the social fabric and consolidating the meanings of love, brotherhood, and charity among the various segments of society, in a way that supports the unity of the conscience of the Sudanese nation.

He stressed the Ministry’s continued efforts to develop the social welfare system and strengthen social protection programs in order to achieve sustainable development, pointing to the focus on supporting the most needy groups, especially the poor and the displaced, in addition to empowering women and expanding employment opportunities for youth through
the financing of productive projects.

He explained that the Ministry is working to achieve comprehensive health coverage, ensure that Zakat services reach those who deserve them, as well as pay attention to disability issues and develop prosthetic services to meet the needs of beneficiaries in the fields of rehabilitation and work.

He also pointed to the continuation of efforts to combat violence against women and children, support vocational training and apprenticeship programs, in addition to developing communication mechanisms with groups deserving of support.
