Higher Education: Confirmation of the validity of certificates does not exceed 72 hours, dealing only with official and diplomatic bodies.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has affirmed its keenness to protect the reputation of higher education institutions in Sudan and their academic documents, stressing its commitment to ensuring the validity of university degrees and preventing any attempts at forgery.

The Ministry explained in a statement that it is following up on what is circulating on social media regarding its role in delaying the procedures for verifying university certificates, indicating that the procedures for verifying and confirming the validity of certificates for service applicants do not take more than 72 hours.

The Ministry stressed that it is the only entity authorized to confirm the validity of university certificates for the entities requesting the service, emphasizing that it deals exclusively with official and sovereign authorities in the country, such as diplomatic missions, chancellories, cultural attachés and Sudanese consulates, through special electronic links linking these entities to the Ministry.

The ministry pointed out that the entities it deals with include a number of Sudanese embassies, consulates, and cultural attachés in various countries, including China, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Egypt, Uganda, the Sultanate of Oman, Ukraine, Qatar, Russia, Kuwait, Libya, Kenya, and India, in addition to Sudan’s missions to the United Nations in Geneva and Nairobi.
